Kali Rising – Dr Rudolph Ballentine

A great and accessible introduction to classic tantra from a contemporary swami from the tradition of the Himalayan Masters.

The Mantantra Letters – Nathan James and Victor Bliss

This is the story of two men’s discovery of tantra in the context of the modern world.  Already an absolute classic, and particularly recommended for anyone who is still sceptical about tantra.

The Secrets of the Yoga Sutra, Samadhi Pada – Pandit Rajmani Tigunait

Every budding yogi has read the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, but unless you’re a real scholar you will’ve missed half the meaning.  In this edition, Pandit Tigunait provides commentary that makes it fully accessible.

Prana and Pranayama – Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati

The absolutely essential introduction to breath – I cannot recommend this enough.  This lock-down is the perfect time to focus in on our breath and develop our breath awareness.  The importance of breath cannot be underestimated.
